Joe Muir has been part of Farnborough International Ltd since 2013, he is responsible for developing and implementing the organisation’s sales and customer service strategies.
As well as leading sales growth, Joe maintains the relationship’s between Farnborough International and our prime aerospace and defence clients.
Joe is a well-known and well-regarded figure throughout the industry with an unrivalled understanding of client objectives and expectations.
A local to Farnborough, Joe was born in Aldershot where he still lives. In his free time, Joe plays golf to a handicap of 11; is a fan of Thai cookery, and is a major collector of vinyl records particularly rock and roll.

Beth Henson joined the SBAC and FIL in 2008, bringing with her over 15 years’ experience in Human Resources, drawn from a spectrum of industry posts including events, hospitality and manufacturing, alongside a strong background in social work.
With people playing such a pivotal role in the successful growth of FIL and its services, Beth acts as the lynchpin for attracting the very best talent to FIL in order to deliver outstanding results as a team.
She was instrumental in the merger of the SBAC and DMA in 2010, taking the lead on all HR aspects. Beth also holds a keen interest in change management and HR Infrastructure and supports the highly successful ‘Good Schools Guide’ in an HR advisory capacity.
A keen sportsperson, Beth enjoys running and keeping fit and enjoys the company of friends and family. She has two sons and lives in Hampshire.

Robin Southwell

Robin Southwell, joined the board at FIL in 2009 and his knowledge and insight into the UK aerospace and defence market have made him a valued addition to the board.
ADS President and CEO of EADS UK, Robin’s long and illustrious career history includes groundbreaking roles. He held positions as CEO of AirTanker Ltd (a consortium of EADS, Cobham, Rolls-Royce, Thales and VT Group) where, under his leadership, he secured the largest PFI in history. He has also been Chief Executive Officer at WS Atkins and Group Managing Director of Customer Solutions and Support at BAE Systems.
As well as an Non-Executive Director at Farnborough International Limited and Shearwater Group, Robin is Chairman of Linley Furniture, Bellevue Speedway, and GBH Limited. He is also an Ambassador for the RAF Museum, Chairman of Governors of Parkside School and was appointed by the Prime Minister, David Cameron, as a UK Business Ambassador.

Gareth joined Farnborough International Limited at the start of 2018 on the brink of the company opening its brand new £34m exhibition and conference centre.
Since then, Gareth has successfully overseen the full opening of the new venue facility, the staging of the 2018 Farnborough International Airshow and the development and imbedding of a new growth strategy for the company that will see it become a year-round events organiser, developing pioneering and innovative business opportunities across the aerospace, defence and conferences and events industries. He has a keen focus on customer service and ensuring that all interactions with Farnborough International are positive ones.
Prior to his joining Farnborough International, Gareth spent more than six years with Southampton Football Club, first as Chief Financial Officer before being promoted to Chief Executive in 2014. Under Gareth’s leadership Southampton FC saw a significant rise in turnover and considerable commercial success.
In 2015, Gareth was named ‘Director of the Year for Large Companies’ (London and South East) by the Institute of Directors.
Originally from Yorkshire, Gareth moved south to attend Southampton University. He is married with three children.
