Now in its fifth cycle, the Bahrain International Airshow has established itself as the most elite business-to-business event on the global Airshow calendar.

Taking place at the five-star purpose built venue at Sakhir, Kingdom of Bahrain, BIAS is held on a biennial basis. The first show took place in 2010 with the Farnborough team working on the planning and development of the Sakhir Airbase the venue for the show.  This included the project management of all the ground and building works which involved clearing some 425,000 cubic metres of rock and overseeing the construction contract to build the luxury corporate hospitality chalets at the airbase.

Every aspect of the show’s development was managed by Farnborough; sales, aircraft, safety, space planning, ticketing, media relations and marketing.  All came to fruition in Bahrain under Farnborough’s meticulous eye and the Bahrain International Airshow quickly established itself as the most elite business-to-business event on the air show calendar.

Farnborough International acted in a consultancy capacity for India from 2008-2015, leading the sales and marketing to launch India Aviation event. The civil aviation event which is held in Hyderabad in the host state of Andhra Pradesh takes place on a biennial basis. Farnborough worked with organisers, the Ministry of Civil Aviation for the Government of India and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) to produce the event which is strongly supported by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Air India, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd.
